Why morning light—and why this spectrum?
University of Minnesota Extension recommends adding winter light in the morning so hens can find their roosts before natural darkness. SOLAYE! follows that approach, with a gradual morning ramp and automatic daily scheduling.
Published laying-hen research has also explored how different spectra affect production and egg quality. Those studies support careful spectral selection, but they are not controlled trials of SOLAYE! itself.

No. SunSync responds to natural daylight and makes automatic daily adjustments to the morning lighting schedule. There are no daily, weekly or monthly timer resets. Follow the installation instructions for correct sensor positioning.
Why do daily adjustments matter?
Daylight shifts gradually. Small daily changes let the lighting schedule follow that pattern instead of making a larger jump once a week or month. SOLAYE! also brings the light up gradually over 35 minutes.
Will the lights stay on all night?
No. The system adds supplemental light in the morning. It is designed to preserve natural sunset and a nighttime rest period.
Will my hens lay more eggs?
Supplemental light can support a consistent laying routine during shorter days, but results vary. Lighting is one part of flock care; breed, age, molting, nutrition and overall health also affect laying.
Does the light provide UVB or vitamin D?
UVB output has not been demonstrated in the supplied spectrum data. SOLAYE! is not a substitute for balanced poultry nutrition or appropriate outdoor sunlight access.
Why is the light warm white?
SOLAYE!’s selected 2700 K COB LED has a broad visible spectrum with orange and red coverage. Its high CRI Ra and R9 specifications describe how well it renders colors, including saturated reds.
Why add light before sunrise?
Morning supplementation leaves natural sunset intact so hens can settle onto their roosts before dark. SOLAYE! gradually raises brightness rather than switching straight to full output.
Is this a heat lamp?
No. SOLAYE! is an LED lighting system, not a heating product or a replacement for appropriate brooder heat.
